Renowned Automotive Designer and Artist Chip Foose’s One-of-a-Kind RealTruck Sells for $150,000 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale

100% of the Sale Benefits Progeria Research Foundation

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Jan. 24, 2025 – Automotive designer and artist Chip Foose adds a one-of-a-kind truck to his custom car portfolio with the RealTruck outfitted 2021 F-150 that crossed the block on Jan. 23 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The truck raised $150,000 to benefit Foose’s personally selected charity – The Progeria Research Foundation – a cause close to Foose’s heart as his sister was diagnosed with Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome at a young age.

“We are humbled to once again participate at Barrett-Jackson and proud to have worked with the automotive mastermind to bring this truck to life in support of an organization that is committed to finding treatments and a cure for Progeria,” said RealTruck Inc. Vice President of Marketing Lee Riser. “Giving back is in our DNA and our collaborations are a testament to supporting incredible organizations while building fun and exciting one-of-a-kind trucks for the road.”

Built by Foose Design and originally unveiled at the 2024 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, the F-150 blends innovation with Foose’s signature design and RealTruck’s lifestyle, outfitted in premium RealTruck parts and accessories including a RealTruck Traction Recovery Winch, a Rugged Ridge Traction Recovery Kit, RealTruck Go Rhino Rear and Front Bumpers, Husky Liners RVL Fender Flares, and more.

“I want to thank everyone involved for making this F-150 come to life and RealTruck’s generosity in donating 100% of the sale in support of finding treatments and the cure for Progeria,” said Chip Foose. “I love what I do and seeing the proceeds of the truck go to a philanthropic cause means so much to me.”

“On behalf of the foundation, we want to thank everyone for the support in bringing awareness and raising funds as we work towards a cure for Progeria,” said Audrey Gordon, President and Executive Director of The Progeria Research Foundation. “As the chosen charity of choice, we are beyond grateful for the donation.”

About The Progeria Research Foundation
The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) is a nonprofit organization established in 1999 by the family of Sam Berns, a child with Progeria. PRF funds and conducts research-related programs, including the clinical trials and studies that led to approval of the first-ever FDA-approved drug for Progeria, lonafarnib (Zokinvy®). PRF is the only organization in the world solely dedicated to finding treatments and the cure for Progeria and its aging related conditions, including heart disease. Due to the discovery of the biological connection between Progeria, heart disease and aging, finding the cure for one of the rarest diseases on earth could provide keys for treating millions of adults with heart disease and stroke associated with the natural aging process, as well as help the entire aging population. The organization fills a void, taking these children out of the background where they had been for more than 100 years and putting them and Progeria at the forefront of scientific efforts.
