In 2019, RAM began producing two distinct lines of half-ton (1500) pickup trucks: the All-New 2019 RAM and the RAM 1500 Classic. The Classic is essentially a 2009-2018 RAM 1500 while the All-New 2019 RAM is the first in a new generation of RAM trucks. If you own a 2019 or newer RAM, please be on the lookout for drop boxes at our product selection screens. We use these drop downs to help determine whether you have the All-New or Classic RAM. These are very different trucks and most of their parts do not interchange. Some distinguishing features include the following.
This is the easiest, most definitive way to determine whether your RAM has the Classic or All-New body.
Classic RAM 1500 trucks have a 5x5.5” bolt pattern.
The All-New RAM 1500 has a 6x5.5” bolt pattern.
Like previous generations of the RAM pickup, the Classic has what is known as the Crosshair grille.
The shape of the front end changes from the Crosshair design for the 2019 All-New body. Note the subtle differences in the shape of the headlights.

Both of the 2019 RAM 1500 trucks have optional bed features that can impact your selection of accessories such as tonneau covers and truck racks. When you’re looking up parts for your RAM, keep an eye out for drop down boxes that ask if your truck is equipped with one or more of these features.
A Rambox is a storage box built into the side of the bed on select RAM pickup trucks.
Usually found on trucks with Rambox beds, these rails are used to secure and manage cargo.
