Ram Truck 1500 Classic Specs & Standard Features
While most manufacturers discontinue a model’s previous generation after introducing the next, Dodge opted to continue producing the popular 4th generation of its RAM 1500 pickup line even after introducing the all-new redesigned 1500 in 2019. In 2019, RAM unveiled the all-new 1500 pickup—a complete redesign from the previous generation, offering enhanced luxury, all-new styling, and features to boot. However, unlike most manufacturers, which halt production of their previous body style when introducing a new alternative, RAM opted to continue producing its iconic 4th generation pickup.
This new “old” truck was given the moniker “RAM 1500 Classic”, and, though sporting a 2019 build date, was nearly identical to the previous generation. The classic offered a solid pickup at a lower price tag than the redesigned truck, ideal for use as fleet vehicles. After six years of production, the RAM 1500 Classic officially ends its production run in 2024.
