Top 10 Fastest Pickup Trucks of All Time

Updated on Aug 27, 2025

We at RealSource® love all types of trucks, but we reserve a special place in our hearts for the fast ones! From newer electrified rigs to those old-school supercharged beasts, here are the 10 fastest pickup trucks of all time. While top speed and quarter-mile times are essential factors, we ranked this list based on the quickest 0-60 mph times.

What are the 10 Fastest Pickup Trucks of All Time?

1. 2026 Rivian R1T Quad

  • 0-60 mph: 2.5 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 130 mph.

Irvine, California-based Rivian drops plenty of sunshine onto the pavement with its R1T Quad. Like the name suggests, the R1T Quad has a motor at each wheel for a combined output of 1,025 horsepower and 1,198 lb-ft. of torque. To ensure the best balance of traction and instantaneous power, the motors adjust torque independently across nine different drive modes, including a Rally mode.

With Launch Mode engaged, the R1T Quad can hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and run a quarter mile in 10.5 seconds at 92 mph. Top speed is 130 mph.

Other fun features include the "Kick Turn," which enables the truck to execute a 180-style maneuver in rough terrain.

2. 2026 Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast

  • 0-60 mph: 2.6 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 130 mph.

While the Long Range and All-Wheel Drive versions of the Cybertruck are probably quick enough for everyday driving, the tri-motor Cyberbeast variant is the undisputed king of the Cybertruck lineup, launching to 60 mph in a mere 2.6 seconds.

Cyberbeast models have a mechanical front locking differential and a virtual rear locking differential, the latter of which automatically engages in certain drive modes or at certain speeds.

Cybertruck owners who like to get away on weekends have 120.7 cubic feet of cargo space for their gear and a customizable Overland mode that maximizes traction when the pavement ends.

3. 2026 GMC Hummer EV Pickup (3X e4WD)

  • 0-60 mph: 2.8 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 106 mph.

Although the King Crab feature allows drivers to twist and turn in all sorts of ways in the snow and sand, on dry pavement, the 2026 GMC Hummer EV Pickup is similar to the Road Runner of Looney Tunes fame, with its 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds.

The only caveat is that impressive time can only be achieved with the 3X e4WD variant when the "Watts to Freedom" mode is activated, which GM recommends for closed courses only.

The 2026 Hummer EV Pickup in its 3X e4WD guise has a tri-motor (one front, two rear) configuration with torque vectoring.

When Watts to Freedom is engaged, the Hummer EV Pickup lowers by two inches and then sends a series of audio, visual, and haptic alerts before delivering the 0-60 mph launch of 2.8 seconds.

4. Ford Raptor R

  • 0-60 mph: 3.6 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 114 mph.

In November 2008, Ford Racing and the Special Vehicle Team (SVT) entered the 41st Tecate SCORE BAJA 1000 with the Raptor R race truck, which was based on a production model. The F-150 SVT Raptor survived the grueling 631-mile course as Steve Olliges made a podium finish with the truck (25:28:10). Two years later, in 2010, the F-150 Raptor would arrive in dealer showrooms with its signature Molten Orange paint.

The modern-day Raptor R stays true to its roots, the latest variant having FOX Racing shocks and a high-output 5.2-liter supercharged and intercooled V8 with 720 horsepower and 640 lb-ft. of torque. The engine has a cast aluminum block, forged aluminum pistons, and plasma transfer wire arc cylinder liners, a coating technology Ford borrowed from the Shelby Mustang.

5. 1991 GMC Syclone

  • 0-60 mph: 4.3 seconds.

  • Quarter Mile: 13.4 seconds at 98 mph.

One of those vehicles that catches your eye at the local cars and coffee, the GMC Syclone is just as cool today as it was in the early 1990s. And nearly everything about it was ahead of its time.

The Syclone's 4.3-liter turbo V6 created 280 horsepower and 355 lb-ft. of torque, impressive considering the 1991 Corvette L98 engine produced 250 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of torque. GMC's all-wheel drive system for the Syclone featured a viscous-coupled center differential and a limited-slip rear differential, meaning power could be split 35/65 front to rear for greater traction.

The Syclone's sibling, the Typhoon, was a performance version of the Jimmy around the same time. While the Typhoon also featured the 4.3-liter turbo V6, it had a slightly longer production run from 1991 to 1993, whereas the Syclone was only around for one year (1991) and was available in only one exterior color (black).

6. 2008 Toyota Tundra TRD Supercharged

  • 0-60 mph: 4.4 seconds.

  • Quarter Mile: 13 seconds at 106 mph.

*Based on MotorTrend testing, November 2008.

After the ultra-fast offerings from the Big Three in the early 2000s, Toyota and its TRD division gave some love to what might be mistaken as just another regular cab truck at first glance.

As Steve Siler noted for Car and Driver in 2009, a simple SR5 model had suddenly morphed into the “Tundra Struck” when staffers at the publication saw the list of TRD upgrades, like the Eaton supercharger for the 5.7-liter V8, dual exhaust, and a performance-tuned suspension.

These days, the TRD Pro line of Toyota vehicles can conquer the great outdoors. However, we at RealSource™ are hopeful that Toyota will one day revive something like this from back in 2008, like a new Tacoma TRD Sport only juiced up with its own supercharger.

7. 2024 Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition

  • 0-60 mph: 4.5 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 118 mph.

  • Quarter Mile: 12.9 seconds at 108 mph.

The 2024 Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition was billed as a "proper send-off" when its production ceased at the end of 2023. First debuting in 2020 as a 2021 model, the TRX lettering invoked the famous closing scene in the original Jurassic Park and indicated that Ram was after the Ford Raptor.

Either way, the Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition is an absolute meat eater, its 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 cranking out 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. With the help of an optimized TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, this off-roader could hold its own in a drag race, running the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph.

While not an official successor to the TRX, the Ram RHO runs wild today with a High Output version of the Stellantis Hurricane engines

8. 2001 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning

  • 0-60 mph: 5.8 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 142 mph.

  • Quarter Mile: 13.9 seconds at 100 mph.

Still a dream truck for many, the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning was the coolest thing on four wheels in the early 2000s. Here at RealSource™, we dug out an old product brochure we had for the 2001 model and enjoyed reading over the technical data section.

For example, the supercharged 5.4-liter Triton V8 with its single overhead cam produced 380 horsepower (4,750 rpm) and 450 lb-ft. of torque (3,250 rpm), equating to 70.2 horsepower per liter. The engine featured an Eaton Generation IV Roots-type supercharger (8.0 psi) with a cast-aluminum case on top of the intake manifold and the water-to-air intercooler in the Vee.

Meanwhile, the 4R100 four-speed automatic transmission featured components Ford also used for its Power Stroke diesel engine. The driveline consisted of a 4.5-inch aluminum drive shaft, a 3.73:1 final drive ratio, and a 9.75-inch limited-slip differential.

The 2003 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning would later go on to claim a Guinness World Record for the fastest production pickup truck in the world.

9. 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10

  • 0-60 mph: mid-5-second range.

  • Top Speed: 154 mph.

  • Quarter Mile: 13.3 to 13.6 seconds.

When the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10 made headlines in late August 2005, it did so by unseating the 2003 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning from its speed throne. The 8.3-liter V10 Viper engine (500 horsepower, 525 lb-ft. of torque) propelled the truck into the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest production pickup truck, with a measured top speed of 154.587 mph sustained over a "flying kilometer."

Inside the cab, a Hurst shifter and a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual gave drivers control over the SRT10, which was fitted with a bespoke differential with a 4.56 axle ratio. The truck featured modified steering and suspension systems, with the rear having performance-tuned springs and Bilstein monotube shock absorbers.

The 2006 SRT10 was available in regular and quad cab configurations, which impacted the final numbers as far as 0-60 and quarter-mile times. However, even by today's standards, the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10 is still one of the fastest pickup trucks in the world.

10. 2003 Chevy Silverado SS

  • 0-60 mph: 6.3 seconds.

  • Top Speed: 109 mph.

  • Quarter Mile: 14.8 seconds at 90 mph.

*Based on Car and Driver testing, June 2003.

Not to be outdone by Ford and Dodge, Chevrolet showed up in the early 2000s with its own performance pickup, the hot-rod Silverado SS.

Powered by a 6.0-liter Vortec LQ9 V8 with 345 horsepower and 380 lb-ft. of torque, the 2003 Silverado SS was standard with a full-time all-wheel drive system. The engine was paired to a Hydra-Matic 4L85-E four-speed automatic with a 3.06 first gear and 0.70 final gear. The Z60 chassis package offered a two-inch lower ride height, 18mm wider track, and P275/55R20 Goodyear Eagle tires.

Like some of the other fastest pickup trucks in the world, the Chevy Silverado SS had a limited production run from 2003 until 2006. Rear-wheel drive was optional for the 2005 Silverado SS, with the 2006 model being offered in RWD only. An Intimidator SS version in 2006 paid homage to the late Dale Earnhardt.

Conclusion

Any one of the trucks above would be highly desirable to own and drive. Some are already cherished and prized by collectors, while some of the newer models will likely be in the future. One thing is for sure: while trucks certainly can haul your stuff, some can blow the doors off the vehicle next to you at the stop light!
