Putco exclusively warrants this premium product to be free of defects in workmanship or materials when properly installed on the vehicle for two years from the original date of purchase. The product must be purchased from Putco.com or through an Authorized Putco Reseller. Any modification to the wiring unless otherwise specified in the instructions may void your warranty. What is Covered?
Subject to the terms, exclusions and limitations herein, Putco, Inc. ("Putco®) exclusively warrants the following Putco® branded products sold through Authorized Putco® Resellers[1] to be free of defects in workmanship or materials when properly installed on initial customer’s vehicle. This Limited Warranty is made as of the date of first retail purchase and is extended only to the initial retail purchaser.
12 Volt Lighting Products: your Limited Warranty term is one year from the date of initial retail sale.
Stainless Steel & Aluminum Accessories: your Limited Warranty term is one year from the date of initial retail sale, provided; (a.) products featuring "Putco’s NeverRust™ finish are additionally warranted not to exhibit surface rust conditions on the chrome or polished surface, materially affecting the structure or value of the part, for so long as installed on the initial retail purchaser’s vehicle, (b.) the term of Limited Warranty for powder-coated Black Platinum and painted products is ninety days from first retail purchase.
ABS & ABS Chrome Trim*: your term to file any warranty claim is one year from the date of initial retail sale.
Extended Warranties: Putco may offer an additional extended warranty in addition to what is shown above for specific series of products. (E.g. Molle Panel Backed by Putco’s limited 3-year warranty) Please reference the product page online for additional details.
What is Not Covered?
Your Putco® Limited Warranty does not cover damage to your vehicle, vehicle systems, other products, or components not manufactured by Putco® to our high-quality standards.
Improper installation, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance according to our instructions, or accidents will not be warranted by Putco.
Obtaining Putco® Warranty & Customer Service
Putco Inc. will coordinate and expedite all warranties, returns, and exchanges as quickly as possible. Many suspected issues with lighting products can be resolved by a review of wiring and installation requirements with Putco’s technical team. You may be contacted to try to troubleshoot the issue before the product qualifies for exchange or replacement.
To expedite your request go to: www.putco.com/warranty and have the following ready;
Proof of product purchase (REQUIRED).
Photos or video of the product(s) with a brief description of the indicated issue (include year, make & model of vehicle with any other aftermarket electronics installed).
Customer contact information and shipping address.
Remedy Limited to Repair/Replacement. Limited time for Filing Warranty Claims-Venue
The exclusive remedy provided hereunder shall at Putco’s option and upon Putco’s inspection and determination of covered defect be either replacement with Putco® products of equal or greater value or purchase price reimbursement to the initial retail customer. All labor, removal, shipping, and installation costs are the customer’s responsibility. The Limited Warranties hereunder are not transferrable. No employee, reseller, or other agent of Putco® is authorized to amend this written Limited Warranty or make additional representations or warranties regarding any Putco® product. Any claim for breach related to this Limited Warranty must be filed in writing with legal action, if any, filed as a single customer claim against Putco® in a court of competent jurisdiction within Polk County, Iowa on or before 120 days of the date your Limited Warranty term expires.
Other Exclusions –Limitation of Damages & Reduced Implied Warranties if Purchased Through Unauthorized Reseller – Your Rights Under State Law.
Excluded from this Limited Warranty are normal wear or loss of performance over time, damage caused by customer wiring or installation not according to Putco® instructions/warnings or third party negligence, lack of maintenance (including failure to clean & wax surfaces), accident, improper application or service. Further, in consideration of the purchase price paid, neither Putco® nor any independent Putco® reseller/installer are responsible for any time loss, rental costs, or for any incidental, consequential, punitive or other damages you may have or incur in connection with any part or product purchased. Your exclusive remedy hereunder for covered parts is replacement/reimbursement as described above. The duration of any implied warranty shall be limited to the term of express warranty, provided above, except for purchases from unauthorized Putco® resellers (see below). This Limited Warranty gives you specific rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state. For example, some states do not allow limitations of how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations and exclusions herein may not apply to you. All other warranties are hereby disclaimed, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law. Warranty requests outside of the United States and Canada, customers may be responsible for any associated shipping charges.
Important: Protect your Limited Warranty by Avoiding Unauthorized Internet Resellers.
Putco® chooses to distribute its products only through independent authorized resellers demonstrating full brand support, stocked inventory, technical expertise, and customer support consistent with the premium qualities of these products. BE AWARE if you purchase Putco® products through an unauthorized reseller on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Alibaba or another Internet site, the duration of any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or other implied warranty is reduced to 30 days from date of initial retail purchase from the full Limited Warranty term offered purchasers through Authorized Resellers. Putco® reserves the rights to: (a.) require an invoice or other proof of purchase identifying date and reseller; (b.) make future revisions to these products and Limited Warranty without prior notice or obligation to upgrade your Putco® product.
