Elongator Multi-Function Tailgate

The Elongator Multi-Function Tailgate is a patented tailgate system that replaces your factory tailgate. This unique, armored style tailgate features an integrated folding tailgate extension that will add an extra 2' of length to your truck bed. The tailgate extension can be locked at 180 degrees, giving you a flat surface to use as a workbench, or added surface area for loading extended cargo like lumber, kayaks, extra cargo and more. The extension can also be locked at 210 degrees by sliding a centrally located knob. This allows it to be utilized as a base for the ramps.

This handy tailgate replacement will not intrude into the bed of the truck any more than the factory tailgate. The Elongator has another feature that is sure to impress. Inside the tailgate are two aluminum ramps that tuck away when not in use. When the tailgate extension is locked at 210 degrees and the ramps attached, this will give you two 6' loading ramps for easy loading of four wheelers, motorcycles, hand trucks or pretty much anything with wheels! Since the tailgate extension adds a 2' base, this allows the ramps to be a one-piece design for added strength, while keeping them short enough to store inside the tailgate when not in use. The ramps have locking tabs that allow you to securely attach them in multiple places along the extension base. Two packages are available for the Elongator Tailgate Ramps and Extender. The base package comes with a manual tailgate lock and its own set of keys. The upgraded tailgate has a backup camera and remote tailgate lock, both of which tie into your existing truck wiring and work with your factory key fob for easy integration.

Installation of the Elongator is simple, just remove the factory cables and unhinge the tailgate. Then, place the Elongator tailgate in the factory location and tighten down the existing cables, that's all. In under ten minutes you can have the "Swiss Army knife" of tailgates installed on your truck and ready for hard work or play. Lifted trucks will have a steeper incline when loading four wheelers and motorcycles.
