Introducing the new and improved RealTruck BAKFlip® MX4 (GEN 3)—an evolution of RealTruck’s most popular tonneau cover. This next-generation upgrade builds on everything truck owners already love about MX4, now enhanced with improved functionality, greater durability, and elevated security.

The new and improved BAKFlip MX4 is constructed primarily from alloy materials, including heavy-duty aluminum top panels and side rails. Reinforced with high-density polymer cores, each panel delivers a 22 percent increase in overall strength compared to the original model.

Security is also enhanced. In addition to BAK’s patented auto-latching system, which automatically secures the cover when closed, the BAKFlip MX4 (GEN 3) features re-engineered lock components for improved resistance to forced entry compared to the GEN 2. No matter the cargo you’re transporting, you can rest assured knowing your gear’s protected.

When the weather turns, the BAKFlip MX4 (GEN 3) holds strong. Revised EPDM rubber perimeter seals and tight-fit clamps provide our best seal yet, preventing seepage between the bed cover and bed rails. At the rear of the cover, a 13 percent longer dual-action tailgate seal provides weather protection for the tailgate. This innovative design also improves operation, maintaining factory tailgate functionality regardless of the cover’s position.

Operating the cover is just as simple—drop the tailgate, release the rear latch mechanism, and fold the cover toward the bulkhead. If full bed access is required, fold the cover flush against the rear window—third brake light visibility remains unobstructed in any position.
