As seasons change and leaves fall, most prepare for the upcoming holiday season. However, for aftermarket performance shops, retailers, and dedicated automotive enthusiasts, this time of year marks one thing—crunch time for the 57th annual SEMA show.
That's right—that most special time of year has come yet again. In a few short weeks, SEMA 2024 will flood your automotive news feeds with mesmerizing new builds, futuristic tech, and the latest and greatest innovations the industry has to offer.
The massive event, put on by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, is set to take over the Las Vegas Convention Center from November fifth to the eighth. If you thought RealTruck's presence last year was impressive, wait until you see our 2024 booth. We're back this year with our largest and most impressive display to date. Stay tuned for anticipated news, planned builds, and more as RealTruck sets its sights on SEMA 2024.
The 2024 SEMA show was a significant milestone for RealTruck. This year, we brought out all the stops for our biggest and most dynamic SEMA showing yet. At the Las Vegas Convention Center, we showcased a stunning array of custom builds, cutting-edge collaborations, and an exciting lineup of all-new products, all contributing to this year's unforgettable event.
The SEMA show routinely drives innovation. RealTruck and other manufacturers strive to bring the latest and greatest tech annually, pushing the envelope of automotive innovation—this year is no different. Let's look at some of the most anticipated news from the SEMA camp.
The SEMA show attracts a large number of buyers each year, and attendance grows annually. This year's show is set to attract a whopping 70,000 buyers and 2,000 exhibitors, making it one of, if not the largest, SEMA shows to date. For additional information, check out this year's event page.
If you thought last year's RealTruck booth was impressive, wait until we release photos from this year's show. The 57th annual SEMA show is set to feature RealTruck's most significant and remarkable booth to date, displaying the latest and greatest innovations from multiple of our industry-leading in-house brands, like BAK®, AMP Research®, and Go Rhino®, across 17 unique builds.
Of the 17 planned builds, four feature collaborations with notable celebrities. Whether a professional sports fan, die-hard gearhead, or a reality TV show aficionado, these builds offer something for everyone. Check out some of our most notable below.
Earlier this year, RealTruck joined teams with renowned survivalist, ex-21 SAS soldier, and hit television star Bear Grylls.
Grylls is one of the most notable adventurers on the face of the planet, and we're beyond grateful for the opportunity to work alongside him for not just one but two celebrity builds that'll eventually see television air time during the inaugural episode of Grylls' new series, Adventure Garage with Bear Grylls.
The first of these builds debuted at the 2024 SEMA show is the Bear Grylls / RealTruck 2024 Toyota Tacoma. This adventure-ready pickup boasts a slew of rugged accessories, all of which can be found in our comprehensive overview of the rugged Tacoma.
The survivalist also debuted a heavily modified 2024 Ford F-150 in RealTruck's SEMA booth. The full-size Ford is bold, wild, and adventurous, much like the man himself. Learn more in the complete build list.
You can't be an automotive enthusiast without knowledge of the man, the myth, the legend—automotive guru Chip Foose. While Foose has long been a force to be reckoned with in the custom and hotrod scenes, he became a household name with TLC's Overhaulin', which followed Foose and his team as they restored and reimagined another lucky viewer's ride in each episode.
At this year's SEMA show, we debuted an insane collaboration between RealTruck and Foose—a highly customized 2021 F-150 sporting one-off Foose design wheels, a custom paint job, and countless RealTruck accessories.
With the F-150 debuted at SEMA, its next stop was the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. In January 2025, the F-150 hit the auction block, fetching an impressive $150,000. All proceeds from the sale of the one-off F-150 directly benefited the Progeria Research Foundation—a non-profit close to Foose's heart, as his sister was diagnosed with the condition at a young age.
Check out the complete build list in our comprehensive build overview.
Lastly, we partnered with NBA star Dwyane Wade for a unique Ford Super Duty build that blends heavy-duty durability with luxury. Gold, white, and King blue dominate the build, making it a one-of-a-kind showstopper. For additional information, peruse RealTruck's build guide.
After SEMA, the F-250 is heading to the world's greatest car collector auction—Barret Jackson—in Palm Beach, FL, in April 2025. All proceeds from the F-250 will benefit Wade's non-profit organization, which he co-founded—Social Change Fund United (SCFU).
The remaining 13 builds are less in-depth, ranging from stock to moderately modified pickups and SUVs. Regardless of the complexity of these builds, RealTruck is bringing a truck for every enthusiast and brand loyalist, including:
As we approach the SEMA show, we'll link individual build guides with comprehensive parts lists for each of the 17 builds. Until then, enjoy these teaser lists.
While RealTruck's display vehicles are visually pleasing additions to our booth, they serve as much more than eye candy. Each build serves as a blank canvas, allowing the opportunity to demonstrate our newest products, which are leading the forefront of innovation and tech. We're debuting several new product lines this year, including tonneau covers, running boards, and more.
Of the products debuted, some of the most innovative and influential include:
The TruXedo Pro X15 TS is a low-profile soft truck bed cover designed for sleek, effective cargo protection. It features T-slot channels in the rails to easily add crossbars, racks, and other accessories to enhance cargo capacity. The cover's 15-degree side rails create an extra-low profile, ensuring it sits flush with the bed rails for a clean, stealthy look.
The BAKFlip® MX4 TS takes the durable, top-selling MX4 truck bed cover, with its heavy-duty aluminum construction and textured, automotive-grade finish, and improves upon it. The all-new MX4 TS features integrated T-slot rails for easy compatibility with racks, carriers, and accessories.
The Go Rhino® Swing-A-Way tire carrier is designed for truck, SUV, and Jeep® owners needing a solution to carry oversized spare tires. It installs into any universal 2-inch receiver hitch, providing secure, rattle-free transport for tires up to 37 inches in diameter and 200 pounds. Made from 3/16-inch steel with black geomet-coated hardware, it offers durability for rough terrain and features an adjustable wheel mount to accommodate various wheel sizes and backspaces.
The RealTruck Sport Bar features a dual-tube design with a detachable front bar for a customizable look. Made from high-strength 2-½-in. steel tubing with a textured black powder coat, it includes removable side panel inserts with 3D-effect venting. The bar offers a versatile multi-mount system for multiple light mounting options and is compatible with factory track systems, most aftermarket bed covers, clamp-on bed caps, and most retractable covers.
While we can't wait to recap this year's SEMA show, we can't do that until the event has passed. Check back in the weeks after the show for a thorough review of our presence at SEMA and a list of any awards we scoop up while in attendance.
