Over the years, the Ford F-Series has undergone 14 significant generational changes, with each bringing new technology to the table. For conciseness, we’re covering only “Super Duty” generations, first introduced in 1998.
At RealTruck, our goal isn’t just to offer industry-leading parts and accessories but to help educate and inspire our customers. For tips, tricks, and recommended mods, check out all of our Ford F-350 guides on RealSource. Check out some of our experts’ favorites:
The Ford F-350 is Ford’s ultimate heavy-duty pickup—the largest and most powerful without delving into commercial, mid-duty trucks. The F-350, together with its half-ton and 3/4-ton siblings—the F-150 and F-250—forms Ford’s best-selling vehicle line—the Ford F-Series.
The F-350 is ideal for towing heavy loads, working long hours at the job site, or other labor-intensive tasks. However, it’s still refined enough for daily use, making it the ultimate vehicle for the tradesperson.
Though the F-350 has been around for over half a century, the F-350 Super Duty that we’re all familiar with didn’t come about until 1998. This redesigned heavy-duty platform was the first of Ford’s heavy-duty trucks to drastically differ from its half-ton models, sporting a beefier chassis, redesigned body panels, and more. Since then, the recipe has been relatively similar, even down to the Power Stroke V8 diesel power plants.
